On the application, it says that the personal statement is optional. However, it will only help your chances of getting in. Also, pay attention to the test scores needed to receive scholarships. Many scholarships require very specific qualifications and it may be worth the money to retake your ACT or SAT if you are a single point away from a cutoff.

Yea, there are some really intelligent people here I'm sure but the vast majority of people down here are more concerned with boosting their B.A.C. than their G.P.A.
